While trying to apprehend Fromwiller, both officers fell due to icy conditions. One of the officers was treated and released from a local hospital after fracturing his right hand.

Fromwiller is charged with second-degree assault, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
