Crimes Nearby Part II: Man Allegedly Drives Drunk With Baby in Car, Items Stolen

  • A Brooklyn man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly drove drunk with an baby in the car and was involved in a two-vehicle crash on the Southern State Parkway, cops said. Click here for more.

  • Sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Aug. 19, a bike cable was cut and a bike was stolen while it was at Wantagh High School.

  • Sometime between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 16, someone put glue in the locks of Astoria Federal Savings Bank on Wantagh Avenue.

  • On Aug. 18 at 2:55 a.m., Elissa Lebron, 42, of Howard Beach, was arrested at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Wantagh Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated and three violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

  • Seaford

    • Those who went for a stroll Sunday at Seaman's Neck Park in Seaford were greeted with an unwelcomed surprise — graffiti. For more on this story, click here.

    • Before 1:14 p.m. on Aug. 14, an unknown male shoplifted at 7-Eleven, located at 4020 Sunrise Highway in Seaford.

  • Sometime between 5 p.m. on Aug. 15 and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 16, a front door window was broken on Iona Street in Seaford.

  • Sometime between 9 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 11 a.m. on Aug. 18, black spray paint was painted over the headlights of a vehicle on Marvin Lane in Seaford. Another complainant found black spray down the driver's side of their vehicle.

  • Levittown

    • On Aug. 15, at 1 a.m., a volunteer fire department ID was stolen from a car parked on Loring Road.

    • Sometime between 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 19, a gas saw, levels, hammers and blades were stolen from a car parked at Target.
