Cops: Narcan Used to Revive Heroin OD Victims

Third incident of Narcan administration in Nassau County within a month.

A man and woman were rushed to the hospital after they apparently overdosed on heroin in Merrick, according to Nassau County Police.

First Precinct Officers and Nassau AMTs rushed to a Washington Street home and found two people "unconscious with shallow breathing," cops said.

The victims, a 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, had apparently overdosed on heroin. AMTs immediately administered Narcan to both victims, who quickly became alert and responsive as the heroin was counteracted, cops said.
