Cops Called to Merrick to Break Up Fight
One victim was transported with minor injuries.
One person was transported to a nearby hospital Saturday after a fight broke out between a bunch of kids near the intersection of Merrick Avenue and Sunrise Highway, police said.
Cops told Patch that the incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. when the nearby Kids Fest let out, and once police responded, the crowd dispersed. No arrests were made, and the transported victim had a minor laceration.
A Bellmore-Merrick EMS EMT was the first to notify police once the fight was in progress, according to Assistant Chief Scott Resnik.
