Over 40 Females Launches in Merrick

The networking company was founded By Judy Gross of Merrick in 2010 and gives women a platform to 'connect, encourage and inspire.'

The national networking group ‘Over 40 Females, created by Judy Goss of Merrick, launched at La Strada Restaurant in Merrick on Monday night. 

The Long Island chapter will be run by Levittown resident Barbara Pesce.

Pesce told Patch that she is honored to have been chosen for the task. She is responsible for organizing events at least once a month and to get to know each and every member and to understand their goals and challenges in business and in life. 

Over 40 Females was founded in January 2010 by Goss. She is a former More Magazine editor and also a  national TV spokesperson for More. Gross traveled the country meeting hundreds of women over the age of 40 that wanted to be heard and celebrated.  She created Over 40 Females to give women a platform to be heard, to network and to encourage, with the motto "Connect, Encourage and Inspire." 

Over 40 Females has been seen on: NBC, CBS, Better TV, News 12, Huffington Post, Shape Magazine, Westport Magazine, Bella Magazine, Long Island Herald and numerous other outlets, newspapers and blogs around the country, the company said.
