Merrick FD Responds to Two Fires During Sandy

According to sources, the Merrick Fire Department responded to calls for two house fires on Monday night and Tuesday morning during the height of Hurricane Sandy.

The first one was at 10:30 p.m. Monday on Kenny Avenue and the second one was at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on Elliot Street.

The source did not reveal the level of damage that was done to the homes.
