Small Business Spotlight: Direct Image Films

Robert Martin, who grew up in Merrick, is the owner of Direct Image Films, which was created in January of 2012.

Patch recently conducted an email Q&A with Martin about his business.

Patch: How did your business come to be?

Martin: This business came to be as a result of my having worked in the event industry for several years as a wedding/event videographer for other companies. It was a natural extension to branch out on my own so I can offer unique and specialized video services.

Why did you choose the Merrick area?

I was raised in Merrick.

What do you offer your customers?

I offer customers high end video productions. From commercial productions to live event coverage Direct Image Films uses the latest technologies to produce works that are innovate and visually exceptional. 

What do you want your business to be best known for?

I would like to be known for my unique services such, "proposal coverage" where I film weddings proposals taking place as they actually happen; "The Wedding Experience," which is a reality show type video production that follows a bride/groom around through all the steps leading up to their wedding day; my cinematic wedding packages and business commercials. 

What's your most popular product or service?

My most popular service is my "cinematic" wedding package. This is a specialized wedding video that uses industry tools and looks to create a video that plays like a feature film.
