Previously, I taught writing, English, and reading at Bellmore-Merrick CHSD. In addition to working day-to-day with the students and staff, I particularly enjoyed being advisor to Grand Avenue Middle School's internationally award-winning literary-art journal Illusions, and being the faculty advisor for Grand Avenue's active PTSA.

Four generations of our family live in Merrick - Seaford area, starting when my father moved to Merrick in the 1940s.
