I think the real problem that conservatives have with this is their inability to come to terms withRead More masculinity and femininity. They probably feel that being a Boy Scout is this overtly masculine right of passage for boys and they can't grasp the fact that gay men can be masculine too. They are threatened that somehow letting gay youth become part of this masculine club, that it will somehow take away from it or feminize them. It's really just ignorance and our society's inability to break free from the concrete molds of male and female that we have been brought up with.
