Calhoun High School, one of three high schools in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District, is home to more than 1,400 students in grades 9 through 12.
Students participate in a variety of clubs and activities, including: Art Club, Chamber Orchestra, Computer Club, Debate Team, DECA, Drama, Entrepreneur Club, Gay Straight Alliance, Hoofbeats-newspaper, It's Academic, Key Club, Math Team, Mock Trial, National Honor Society, Pegasus-Literary Magazine, Power Club, PREP Computer Club, SADD, Science Club, Student Government, World of Difference, Yearbook-Pacer and Yorker Club.
