Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1248 of Lakeside School visited the Merrick Fire House Friday.
The Troop learned about fire safety and volunteering and also got to wear some of the firefighters gear and go in the fire engine.
To beat heat after their visit, the girls went out for frozen yogurt to cool off.
