Fuschillo Commends Old Mill Volunteers

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., R-Merrick, recently visited Old Mill Road Elementary School in North Merrick to offer his thanks for the school’s continued support of his “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.

“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive that Senator Fuschillo organizes to serve the children currently in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center in an effort to brighten their spirits.

Old Mill Road’s students and staff collected new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. These toys will be delivered to the hospital after New Year’s Day so that children can experience the joys of receiving a new toy after the holiday season and throughout the year.

“Old Mill Road’s students and staff did a terrific job,” Fuschillo said. “Their hard work will put smiles on the faces of many children. I greatly appreciate their efforts and thank them for participating in this program.”
