Nine Calhoun Athletes Commit to College Teams

Student-athletes commit to playing sports at a college or university next year.

Nine student-athletes fromCalhoun High School have committed to o playing at a college or university next year. 

Each student recently had an opportunity to talk about the decision-making process in selecting their school and discussed what they hope to accomplish at the next level at the next level during a letter of intent signing. 

“These Calhoun athletes have truly distinguished themselves by their commitment to playing a sport and now have the opportunity to continue to play on the college level,” Assistant Principal Nicole Hollings said. “They have all signed letters of commitment to their schools and now await the next chapter of their lives.”

The following students have committed to playing on an athletic team at a college or university next year: 

  • Colin Bayer – Lacrosse at Florida South College – Division 2
  • Kayla Cappuzzo – Soccer at Northeastern University – Division 1
  • Emily Dolan – Lacrosse at Western New England University – Division 3
  • Nicholas Fronte – Baseball at Skidmore College – Division 3
  • Jack Kerner – Lacrosse at Albertus Magnus College – Division 3
  • Kyle McGinley – Lacrosse at Wagner College – Division 1
  • Eric Ohlendorf – Soccer at Fordham University – Division 1
  • Samantha Sanky – Softball at Utica College – Division 3
  • Joseph Zito – Lacrosse at Lenoir-Rhyne University – Division 2
