After a magical run to the Nassau County Championship game, the Calhoun Girls Soccer team was defeated 3-2 Monday by Massapequa at Rosyln High School.
After one-goal wins in two straight days, Calhoun went toe-to-toe with the number one seeded Chiefs. Rosie DiMartino scored the game-winning goal with 26:52 remaining, according to Newsday. Erica Modena also added two first half goals for Massapequa.
For Calhoun, Taylor Sipos and Michele Iacono, were able to find the back of the net. Alissa Battaglia also kept the Colts in the game by making 25 saves in net.
