Hundreds Rally Against Resignation of MAMS Teacher: Hundreds of supporters rallied for Stefan Serie, a beloved teacher who claims he was forced to resign after appearing on a reality show.

Bellmore-Merrick CHSD Announces Free and Reduced Price Meal Policy:  The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District announced a free and reduced price meal policy for the Bellmore and Merrick area school children.

DeTommaso Assumes Bellmore-Merrick CHSD Superintendent Duties:  John DeTommaso, a former social studies teacher at Mepham High School  and assistant principal and athletic director at Calhoun High School, started his new role as superintendent of the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District in 2013. 

Bellmore-Merrick CHSD Capital Project Approved: Bellmore and Merrick residents voted to approve the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District's capital project, a $49.6 million bond, which will provide critical infrastructure updates to the district's seven buildings.
