Sacred Heart Students Help Feed the Hungry

Each class also collected food items to make Thanksgiving baskets, which will be distributed by members of the Sacred Heart Parish Outreach.

As the holiday season rolls in, those that are less fortunate are not always able to enjoy it.

The children at Sacred Heart School wanted to make sure that needy families within the community could also have a Thanksgiving to be thankful for.

On Monday, members of the Sacred Heart School Student Council held a Thanksgiving Bake Sale to raise money for the Sacred Heart Church Parish Outreach which feeds needy families at Thanksgiving time and throughout the year.

In addition, on Tuesday, the entire student body forfeited their normal fare to eat just a small bowl of soup for lunch, so that they may be reminded of those who are less fortunate than they this Thanksgiving.

Each student donated $5 for their soup lunch and all of the proceeds were donated to the Sacred Heart Parish Outreach.
