Old Calhoun Choir Videos Surface on YouTube

Videos date back to the 1960s.

On Aug. 24, a video was posted on the Calhoun High School choir's YouTube Channel from a performance in 1967.

The choir was lead by Director S. Talbot Thayer, and the students performed "Heilig" by Felix Mendelssohn. You can watch that video by clicking here.

A short time later, a recording of the students singing "Soldier Boy" by the duo of Robert Shaw and Alice Parker was posted. The soloist is Nancy Hassett. That video can be seen by clicking here. 

On Aug. 29, one final video was added, and that was of the same choir performing "Hodie Christus Natus Est" by Giovanni Pierluigi Palestrina. You can watch that video as well by clicking here.

As Sacristan at Cure of Ars, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rich (as I called him) for some time. He was a man of faith and a pleasure to see. Always with a smile and kind word, you would never know what was going on the way he acted. This was a wonderful and insightful article. It is heartbreaking to think that where there was once love between 2 people, things got to the point where one persons life was destroyed by those who could and did for no apparent reason other than having the ability to do so. God will have mercy on Dr. Rich and the ex-wife and "Judge" should pray for the same given their actions.
