The College at Brockport
- The College at Brockport recently honored students who excelled academically by naming them to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. Ciarrai Donnelly of Merrick was named to the Dean's List. Students who earn a GPA of 3.70–3.99 are named to the Dean's List with Honors, while students who achieve a 3.40–3.69 are named to the Dean's List.
- The following local residents were named to the Dean's List at Ithaca College for the fall 2012 semester:
- Alisa Popple, a resident of Merrick and a freshman Legal Studies major, was named to the Dean's List in Ithaca College's School of Business.
- Sean Cotty, a resident of Merrick and a senior Performance/Music Education major, was named to the Dean's List in Ithaca College's School of Music.
- Rebecca M. Rood Goldman of Merrick has been named to second honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2012 semester.To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79, of a maximum of 4.3.
- Dario A. Cortes, PhD, Berkeley College President, has announced that students from Nassau County, NY, have been named to the President’s and Dean’s Lists at Berkeley College for the Fall 2012 Quarter, including Joseph Capuano of Merrick.
