Mepham and Kennedy Unite to Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness

The schools took part in a special breast cancer awareness football game.

Mepham High School and Kennedy High School recently united for a special breast cancer awareness football game.

Everyone in attendance, from spectators and teachers to players, cheerleaders and kickline members, wore pink to recognize the cause.

All proceeds from concessions, raffle baskets and the sale of specially made “Let’s Tackle This Together” t-shirts will help fund the Adelphi NY Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program.

“It is wonderful to see the community come together to support such a important cause,” Superintendent of Schools John DeTommaso said. “Students, staff and community throughout the district have worked hard to raise money for breast cancer research."
