Fuschillo Participates in Community Read-Aloud at Lakeside School
The annual event was held last Friday.
New York State Senator , R-Merrick, visited Levy-Lakeside Elementary School last Friday to participate in the school's "Community Read-Aloud."
Lakeside's "Community Read-Aloud" is an annual event where local community leaders, such as Fuschillo, visit the school to read to students and help them develop their own love of reading.
Fuschillo read "House Mouse, Senate Mouse" by Peter and Cheryl Barnes to students in Mrs. Iseman's kindergarten class. The story allowed the children to learn in a fun way what Fuschillo's job is and how laws are made.
To help the students further understand how new laws are made Fuschillo offered some ideas to the class and had them vote on whether or not they thought they should become law.
