Expo Brings Art to Life for Students at Calhoun

Calhoun High School students recently hosted its first annual art expo.

Calhoun High School students recently hosted its first annual art expo. 

Students were able to experience works as finished products, observe demonstrations by experienced art students and participate in the creation of art in many different subject areas. 

Stations were set up with hands-on activities such as  life drawing, abstract arts, photography and computer arts.

The event exposed students to various artists and art periods throughout history to give them a better understanding of how they perceive and understand artistic endeavors.

“It’s exciting to see that every station has a handful of students sitting at it and being engaged,” Art Teacher Michael Goldberg said. "We have amazing students working at each station that are really drawing in the crowd and getting other students involved.”
