Bellmore-Merrick Seniors Treated to Musical Performance at Calhoun

The free program was the first in a series that invites seniors to engage in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.

Seniors from Bellmore-Merrick were recently treated to  “A Theatrical and Musical Performance” at Calhoun High School.

The free program was the first in a series that invites seniors to engage with the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District on a regular basis.

Seniors enjoyed a variety of student entertainment, including performances by the school’s Crescendo Show Choir, Madrigal Choir and On Tour company, who presented a scene from their last production of William Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale.”

“As a district, we are looking to make a stronger initiative to create a real connection between the children and seniors of our community,” Superintendent John DeTommaso said. “We’ve always appreciated the partnership that the district has had with its senior residents and we want to show our appreciation.”
