J.P. Morgan Chase has started foreclosure proceedings on Dina Lohan's $1.3 million Merrick home, according to the Long Island Press.
Lohan, 50, was arrested last week after police said she was driving drunk while speeding on the Northern State Parkway. After being taken in by police for processing, Lohan alleged that she was injured during the arrest. Emergency personnel were called, but when they arrived, Lohan did not have any injuries and she allegedly recanted her claim.
Her arraignment on DWI charges is scheduled for Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead. From the LI Press:Dina “has failed to comply with the conditions of the mortgage…by failing to pay portions of principal, interest or taxes, assessments, water rates, insurance premiums, escrow and/or other charges,” court documents obtained by the Pressstate. If the two sides are unable to reach a settlement this time, the case could go to trial, which might end with the house landing on the auction block, the report said, although the legal process generally takes years to reach that conclusion.
