Election Signs: Time to Take Them Down

Share your thoughts in our Soapbox - Gov't Matters open blog.

Many people have been upset about the number of signs that have remained up after elections conclude, stating that it is the equivalent of litter.

Now that Election Day is over, what do you think is a reasonable time frame for all the political campaign camps to start cleaning up those yard and pole signs used in the campaign? One week? 48 hours?

We posted the above question on Merrick Patch's Facebook page and got the following comments:

  • Terri Mager-Mueller: 72 hours, it is ridiculous how many signs are along Meadowbrook Road.
  • Ed McCormack: A week.
We want to know what you think is a good time frame to get the signs taken down. Click here or tell us in the comments section below.
