Te-Amo Robbed by Stun Gun-Toting Suspect

The suspect demanded money after asking for a pack of cigarettes.

Te-Amo was robbed Wednesday morning at 10:20 a.m. by a suspect who displayed a stun gun and demanded money from the store clerk.

According to detectives, an unknown male white subject entered the store at 704 Merrick Avenue and asked the store clerk for a pack of cigarettes. As the 45-year-old male victim was getting them, the subject came around the counter demanding money while displaying a stun gun.

The victim surrendered an unknown amount of U.S. currency and the subject fled the scene on foot northbound on Merrick Avenue to eastbound Mill Road.

No injuries were reported.

Police said that the subject is described as unshaven with dark hair and was wearing a black knit hat, black jacket, blue jeans, gloves and black sunglasses.
