Police Seek Suspects Connected to Grand Larceny in Merrick

Authorities said that the suspects tried to make a fraudulent purchase with a stolen credit card.

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public's help in identifying two subjects who are wanted in connection with a grand larceny that occurred in Merrick.

On Wednesday, Aug. 14 between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. unknown person(s) broke into a victim's vehicle while they were working out at the Xtreme Gym located at 2119 Merrick Road, authorities said. 

The unknown suspect(s) removed the victim's pocketbook and contents and were later caught on video surveillance making a fraudulent purchase with one of the victim's stolen credit cards at Target in Westbury, police said. 

The suspects fled in a blue or green beat up pick-up truck with a chrome ran bar on the front, chrome running boards and an unknown plate number, authorities said.  

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who can identify the subjects or with any information to call (800) 244-8477. All calls will remain anonymous.
