Multiple Grand Larcenies Reported in Merrick

Police are investigating multiple grand larcenies that occurred on Thursday morning in Merrick. 

According to detectives, between 4:10 a.m. and 7:36 a.m., there were four incidents reported. The suspects removed four tires and rims (12 total) from three separate vehicles. 

The first victim, 27, reported the loss from his Nissan Maxima that was parked in his driveway on Camp Avenue. The second victim, 50, reported the loss from his Nissan Maxima that was legally parked in front of his residence on Remson Avenue. The third victim, 47, reported the loss from his Lincoln Continental that was parked in his driveway on Roberta Lane.

The fourth victim, 35, reported the loss of his front and rear seats in his Honda Accord, which was legally parked in front of his residence on Meadowbrook Road.

Police said that one witness observed three suspects, one described to be a black male, flee in a black sedan westbound on Camp Avenue. No further information was made available.
