Merrick FD Receives $1,000 Grant for New Equipment
The grant was funded by New York American Water.
The Merrick Fire Department recently received a $1,000 grant, funded by New York American Water.
The grant will help provide the volunteer department with life-saving fire equipment.
Town Supervisor Kate Murray and New York American Water President Bill Varley presented the check to Michael Gargen, who accepted the check on behalf of the department's fire chief.
