Man Arrested in Sushi Ko Theft

Cops said the man was also involved in Port Washington, Great Neck and Uniondale crimes.

A Great Neck man has been arrested for allegedly stealing money out of a cash register at a Merrick restaurant, Nassau County police said on Monday.

Cops said they arrested David Mintz after responding to an alarm at Sushi Ko Restaurant on Merrick Road. Upon arriving, a police officer said he saw Mintz running from the rear of the store.

Nassau police also alleged that Mintz was involved in other burglaries in Uniondale, Great Neck and Port Washington.

The defendant is being charged with eleven counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of attempted burglary. He will be arraigned Monday at First District court in Hempstead.
