A fire on Dorothy Court in Merrick completely demolished a garage on Friday evening.
According to Thomas Fernandez, chief, Merrick Fire Department, the fire spread to the home as well as the garage and home next door.
"The main damage was in the garage, which is no longer there," he said.
Fernandez told Patch that no injuries were reported and no one was sent to the hospital.
About 75 men from Merrick, North Merrick, Bellmore, Roosevelt and North Bellmore were also on the scene to help battle the blaze. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, Fernandez said.
