Crime Report: Merokean Pleads Guilty to Not Paying Employees, DWI

Two cousins who own East Meadow’s Colony Diner, one of whom's a Merrick resident, pled guilty to charges they failed to pay 72 employees more than $500,000 in wages, according to Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice. Click this link for more.

  • After 5:45 p.m. on April 26, an unknown male black stolen iPhones from a display at Verizon Wireless, which is located at 2132 Sunrise Highway in Merrick.
  • Sometime between 11:30 p.m. on April 22 and 9:30 a.m. on April 23, unknown suspects shattered the rear window of a vehicle parked on Judith Drive in Merrick. No loss was reported.
