Crime Nearby: DWI Arrests, Verizon Store Robbed

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Bellmore

  • A complainant discovered damage to the rear window of her 2011 gray Buick, which was parked on Bellmore Avenue on Dec. 16.
  • On Dec. 19, Mia McIntyre, 44, of Bellmore, was arrested at King Kullen, 2370 Sunrise Highway in Bellmore and charged with petit larceny.

 

Merrick

  • On Dec. 13, Kevin Fortune, 24, of Merrick was arrested at said location and charged with violation of probation.
  • A complainant left her pocketbook in the shopping cart in Waldbaums. When she returned to the cart, the pocketbook was no longer in it. This incident was reported on Dec. 13.
  • On Dec. 13, a complainant parked at Cancos Tile and walked across the street to have dinner. When complainant returned to his 2006 gray Honda Ridgeline, he discovered the driver side window broken and a camera stolen.
  • Two black males were reported to have stolen two tablets from the Verizon Store on Sunrise Highway on Dec. 16.
  • On Dec. 17, Jonathan Bencosme, 22, of Merrick, was arrested at said location and charged with obstruction of government administration in the second degree.
  • On Dec. 17, Ryan Burbes, 18, of Merrick, was arrested on Narwood Avenue, Merrick and charged with assault in the third degree.
  • On Dec. 18, a wallet was stolen from a shopper at Waldbaums.
  • Sometime between Dec. 18 and Dec. 19, it was discovered that an unknown suspect or suspects removed the door handles from the complainant’s 1992 red Toyota which was parked on Clubhouse Road.

 

Seaford

  • An unknown suspect or suspects damaged the sink at Cedar Creek Park. The damage was discovered on Dec. 11.
  • On Dec. 14, a home on Martin Court was entered via the rear window. Jewelry was taken.
  • An unknown person attempted to enter the CITGO gas station on Sunrise Highway through the bathroom. No loss was reported.

 

Wantagh

  • Sometime between Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, an unknown suspect or suspects shoved an unknown object into the complainant’s garage lock, rendering it inoperable.
  • An unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window of complainant’s 2007 black Chevy Suburban, which was located on Wantagh Avenue on Dec. 13. No loss was reported.
  • On Dec. 14, Ivonne Bohorquez, 50, of Wantagh, was arrested at JC Penny, 600 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petit larceny.
  • Sometime between Dec. 16 and Dec. 17, it was noticed that a GPS was stolen from a 2010 black Nissan that was located on Balsam Court.
  • On Dec. 19, Chong Seong Lee, 58, of Manhasset, was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Oakland Avenue, Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and one violation of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • A home on Greentree Drive in Wantagh was entered through the rear sliding glass door. No loss was reported.
