Cops: Driver Flees After Striking Teen in Calhoun Parking Lot

A 17-year-old was hospitalized after being struck by a car early Saturday morning.

Nassau County Police are looking into an assault that occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of Calhoun High School.

According to detectives, a group of people were standing around when a man drove up in a black Audi. He reportedly began beeping the car horn, then pulled out of a parking spot and drove towards the group striking a 17-year -old male victim.

The vehicle then fled the scene in an unknown direction. No further description was available.

The victim suffered a head injury and was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
