Car Crashes into Merrick Home

An elderly woman crashed her car into a Merrick house Thursday afternoon, sending a mother and her 2-month-old baby to the hospital, according to Newsday.

Tara Soffientini and her daughter Lucy Ray were sitting in their living room at about 3 p.m. when the car his the rear of the home. Both residents were taken to the hospital as a precaution, Newsday reported. The driver of the car was transported for observation as well.

Police said that no charges have been filed in this case.
