Car Accidents Reported in Merrick

The Merrick Fire Department responded to three crashes in the last four days at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Babylon Turnpike.

On Jan. 5 at 12:50 a.m., two cars collided, one of which was a New York City taxi. On Jan. 7 at 4:45 p.m., two cars crashed in the turning lane at the intersection. Lastly, on Jan. 8 at 7:15 a.m., a car flipped over after colliding with a tractor trailer.

Minor injuries were reported in all three crashes, Merrick Fire Department officials confirmed.
