The Perfect Summer Cocktail: Summer Beer

Please all of your summertime guests with this simple concoction.

Summer parties and backyard barbecues are the perfect excuses for allowing yourself to have a cocktail or two.

If you are hosting a warm-weather gathering, you should always be prepared with popular and refreshing alcoholic beverages for your adult guests to enjoy. However, because of different peoples’ tastes, it becomes difficult and pricey to please everyone's palates.

Luckily, there is a solution to your problem. Satisfy the beer drinkers, the people who prefer stronger alcohol and those who want something fruity and refreshing with the same beverage: Summer beer. Don’t let the name fool you; summer beer does not have an overwhelming beer taste, so it will appeal to those who choose to avoid the frothy beverage.

The recipe for summer beer is fast and easy, and you probably have all of the ingredients already on hand. You will need one (12 fluid ounces) can of frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed; 12 fluid ounces of water; 12 fluid ounces of vodka and one can (12 fluid ounces) of beer. What is great about this recipe is that it is very flexible; you can use your taste and choose the lemonade, vodka and beer that you prefer. Feel free to use regular lemonade or juice instead of the pink lemonade concentrate, as well.

You can measure all of the liquids using the can of concentrate as it measures 12 fluid ounces and that is the amount you will need of all the ingredients (note that this recipe makes eight servings).

Once you have the lemonade, water, vodka and beer ready, pour the thawed lemonade into a gallon pitcher. Next, add the water and vodka to the concentrate; pour the beer into the mixture last. Mix the ingredients well and serve it over ice. Because the recipe is so simple, spruce it up a bit by placing lemon slices on the sides of the glasses.

Summer beer is so easy to make and it is a real crowd-pleaser. Be sure to serve it at your next summer gathering to quench all of your guests’ thirsts.

Thank you for this wonderful article on a good man pushed to the brink. I appriciate the fact thisRead More came form the heart and did not hold back. As Sacristan at Cure of Ars, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rich (as I called him) for some time. He was a man of faith and a pleasure to see. Always with a smile and kind word, you would never know what was going on the way he acted. This was a wonderful and insightful article. It is heartbreaking to think that where there was once love between 2 people, things got to the point where one persons life was destroyed by those who could and did for no apparent reason other than having the ability to do so. God will have mercy on Dr. Rich and the ex-wife and "Judge" should pray for the same given their actions.
