On October 25th, Chabad of Merrick-Bellmore-Wantagh is set to host its first annual Journey for a Purpose, a women’s evening in support of those who face breast cancer. The event is also the launch of Circle of Hope, a unique organization providing resources for breast cancer patients, their families and the community in the form of financial assistance, emotional support and preventative health seminars. The Journey for a Purpose launch event is set to take place on Thursday, October 25 at 7:30pm at the Grand Ballroom of the Sephardic Temple, 775 Branch Blvd, Cedarhurst, NY.
Some 300 women are expected and will enjoy a musical performance by 17-year-old Julien Harris, an address by Dr. Ruth Oratz, premier oncologist at New York University’s Langone Medical Center, a runway show sponsored by Runway Couture and Let’s Accessorize & Let’s Bag It, a Chinese auction and raffle, as well as various boutiques for shopping.
