Why aren't Nassau County Police enforcing parking regulations on the streets of Merrick?
Am I correct in assuming that parking on the sidewalk is illegal?
Here is a video walking North on Kees Place to Benson Lane and then west to Merrick Ave
Where are the pedestrians supposed to walk?

These autobody shops must be paying someone off. It's been like this for years. I've seen other's complain about this but nothing gets done about it.

Lol, just noticed the top of the Merrick patch home page on the left that there is a drawing of a cop writting a ticket. Is this what Merrick is known for? Lol

how about enforcing that people shouldn't park on their front lawns, like I see on Meadowbrook Road.

The solution is so simple - just issue a ticket to each vehicle, each and every day, until the illegal parking stops. If it doesn't stop them from parking, at least it will raise some much needed funds. And if they don't pay the tickets, put a boot on the car!!!
