North Merrick Public Library "Tea and Tunes" Event A Success

The Friends of the North Merrick Public Library hosted their second annual “Tea and Tunes” social on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at the library. The event, which was open to the public, was a success and saw an increase in the number of attendees from last year. Guests enjoyed tea, sandwiches, desserts and music.

The event also provided attendees with an opportunity to learn more about the Friends of the Library, whose “volunteerism leads to positive civic engagement and the betterment of the community.” Funds raised by the Friends are used to purchase items for the library that are not part of the library’s budget.
