Jo Ann Leone of Merrick was recently given an Certificate of Recognition for taking part in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA).
Through the town’s Department of Senior Enrichment, VITA volunteers are trained in the latest IRS regulations and provide seniors and residents with limited income with free income tax preparation assistance at local libraries and town senior centers.
