Lindsay Lohan Turns Down Plea Deal

Despite the fact that the prosecutor seems amenable to giving Lindsay Lohan a plea deal for allegedly lying to cops about a car crash, the Merrick native has refused because she says she’s innocent, according to TMZ.

From TMZ: Attorney Shawn Holley was on her way to court Monday to negotiate a deal in Lindsay's lying-to-cops car crash case when she got her walking papers.  Law enforcement sources tell us ... the prosecutor was willing to let Lindsay plead no contest and agree to six months of lockdown rehab -- NO JAIL.

TMZ said that prosecutors have proof that Lohan is lying, because “she told cops she was a passenger in the Porsche when there's overwhelming evidence she was the driver.”

Lohan faces 19 months in prison if found guilty, and the lying-to-cops case introduces a violation in her probation from her jewelry theft case, and she could get an additional 245 days for that — a total of more than two years in jail.

Is Lohan making a mistake by turning down the plea bargain? Tell us in the comments section below.

Thank you for this wonderful article on a good man pushed to the brink. I appriciate the fact thisRead More came form the heart and did not hold back. As Sacristan at Cure of Ars, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rich (as I called him) for some time. He was a man of faith and a pleasure to see. Always with a smile and kind word, you would never know what was going on the way he acted. This was a wonderful and insightful article. It is heartbreaking to think that where there was once love between 2 people, things got to the point where one persons life was destroyed by those who could and did for no apparent reason other than having the ability to do so. God will have mercy on Dr. Rich and the ex-wife and "Judge" should pray for the same given their actions.
