Temple B'nai Torah in Wantagh will hold a Recovery and Healing after Trauma and Natural Disaster program in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy this Friday evening.

Dr. Sharon Grand Curry, a Merrick-based psychologist will conduct the program, which is scheduled to last from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Reform synagogue located on 2900 Jerusalem Ave. The community is invited to the free presentation, which will focus on how natural disasters may impact people’s emotions and coping strategies.

Coffee will be served at the event and if possible attendees are asked to bring donations for victims of Superstorm Sandy. Donations most needed according to temple officials include garbage bags, bleach, space heaters, paper towels, old towels, blankets, brooms, dustpans, mops and shovels.

Reservations are not necessary, but organizers ask that if possible attendees confirm attendance by emailing currysjb@aol.com.
