On April 18, Calhoun HS's Senior Experience Fashion Show raised $10,326 dollars for the Long Beach School District.

The show mixed heartfelt videos and speeches with the latest fashions from Max & Gino's, Reign, Saks Off Fifth Avenue, Esquire Tuxedos, and Runway Couture.

Teachers and students celebrated the event by strutting their stuff on the catwalk. On the 23rd, 15 students from the program, along with teachers Jason Elias and Ryan McSherry and Principal David Seinfeld, attended the Long Beach School District Board Meeting to hand over the funds raised.

Kari Schaefer delivered a heartwarming speech that drew a standing ovation from the attendees, both the the audience and the board. Long Beach Principal, Dr. Gurav Passi, and board members praised and thanked the students profusely, leaving many student speechless and overwhelmed by the emotions of the evening.

The night was capped with a quick stop at Marvel, where the owner took and then placed our photo in a coveted spot on the outside window.
