Bellmore-Merrick CHSD Collects for Sandy Victims

Students in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District (BMCHSD) have been participating in a Hurricane relief drive since Wednesday, and it will continue through Friday.

Students are collecting various necessities through their school clubs and will distribute them to local community members who are in need on Saturday.

Students are collecting items including large plastic tubs, blankets, flashlights, batteries, non-perishable food, bottled water, warm clothing, toiletries, paper items, baby items, pet food, toys and school supplies.

Items will be picked up by members of the BMCHSD maintenance staff from each building on Friday and will be distributed on Saturday at the Brookside Administration Building from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m..
