Merrick Doctor Appointed Co-Chief of Neurosurgery at St. Joseph Hospital

Dr. Donald Krieff also served as Chief of Neurosurgery at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

Dr. Donald Krieff, a Merrick resident, was recently appointed Co-Chief of Neurosurgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage. 

Krieff is an attending neurosurgeon with Neurological Surgery, P.C. (NSPC) in Rockville Centre. 

“I join my colleagues in congratulating Dr. Krieff on this well-deserved appointment,”  Michael H. Brisman, chief executive officer of  Neurological Surgery, P.C. said.  “This appointment is verification of his leadership in the field.”

Earlier in his career, Krieff served as Chief of Neurosurgery at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow and at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

“Like Dr. Krieff, many physicians in our practice serve in leadership positions at top hospitals throughout Long Island,” Brisman said . “We provide university-level neurosurgical care, right in the community. This assures patients that they can receive expert care close to home.”

Krieff is a board certified neurosurgeon who treats adult and pediatric patients, performing both complex cranial and spinal surgery.

He has special interests in computer-assisted resection of brain tumors and the management of traumatic injuries to the brain and spine.
