The South Merrick Community Civic Association will be hosting their 2nd Annual Spring Clean Sweep event this Sunday, "Earth Day", April 22, 10 am. Participants will include Girl and Boy Scouts, students and any other volunteers who wish to help.
The plans include the planting of flowers at the Town Park entrance on Merrick Road and also at Cammanns Pond Park.
Garden tools and trash picks and bins will be provided. Participants are asked to bring gloves.
Children are asked to be accompanied by a parent or adult.
Certificates for Community Service will be issued at a later date.
