The Drowsy Chaperone

The Drowsy Chaperone is a musical comedy for people who love musicals! The Drowsy Chaperone pays tribute to the Jazz-Age shows of the 1920s and their power to lift our spirits during hard times. The show is narrated by a die-hard musical theatre fan who plays his favorite musical album on his record player, and the musical literally bursts to life in his living room. He, along with the audience, is transported to “The Drowsy Chaperone”, a play-within-a-play full of every cliché, gag, and gimmick from the golden age of musicals, including a hesitant stage star bride, a groom on roller skates, a tap-dancing best man, an over-the-top romantic Latin lover, gangsters (disguised as bakers), and, of course, a tipsy chaperone. So, come enjoy an evening of uproarious entertainment. You’ll be laughing long after the final bow.
