Reading the Declaration of Independence= HSM

We come together to have YOU read each line of the Declaration of Independence. The HIstorical Society of the Merricks has been sponsorng this free event for more than twenty years. Come and spend an hour with us as we celebrate July Fourth by recalling the stirring words written to establish our great nation.
Young and old have been among our readers... We supply the souenir books and some cold water to help and you still have the rest of the day to celebrate.
We meet at the Gazebo just north of the LIRR tracks, west of Merrick Avenue.
There may also be a free bus ride afterwards through the streets of North Merrick and Merrick yto point out our historical sites.
