Oct. 6: Kennedy Homecoming, Breast Cancer Fundraiser
Five things you need to know today.
1. Thursday marks Kennedy homecoming. The school will celebrate with a pep rally in the afternoon and then the football team will take on Carle Place at 7 p.m. Good luck Cougars! Bring home a victory!
2. There will be a seminar for parents at Brookside School about bullying, cyberbullying and depression at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be John Halligan, who lost his son in 2003 after he was bullied by classmates at school and online.
3. Creative Corner has teamed up with the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research and Mayco ceramics to offer tonight's "hope grows" fundraiser. There will be raffles, hair extensions and food. Tickets at $40 per person and the event starts at 7 p.m.

4. The East Meadow Board of Education will meet on Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Campo Center.
