Where/When: Bellmore Knights of Columbus, Friday, 7:30 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Why Go: The Bellmore-Merrick high school kids need a place to go after prom and you need a place to go on Friday night.
Pricing: $30 per person for a buffet, open bar and music. Patrons must be older than 21.
3. Chocolate and Wine Pairing
Where/When: The Vine-Wine Bar, Saturday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Flex your wine knowledge at your next dinner party by having the perfect wine on hand to go with the chocolate mousse cake.
Pricing: $60 per person for five portions of wine and chocolate. Call in advance for reservations.
4. Kiwanis Food Drive
Where/When: Stop & Shop and Waldbaums on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: It makes you feel good to do something good for others. Canned goods, pasta and soups are all needed items, but you may donate whatever whatever non-perishable foods you wish.

5. Jungle Book
Where/When: Merrick Theatre and Center for the Arts, Saturday, 2 p.m.
Why Go: It’s fun for the kids and it’s fun to watch the kids have fun.
Pricing: $9 per ticket.
